Announcing Verci—the next era of DropoutDAO

Our Rebrand, New Soho Space, and Applications!!

Over the past few months, we’ve built an incredible community of some of the most talented young builders in web3. We’ve hosted 25+ events, coordinated 5 co-living houses, brought together 1000+ ambitious learners, and garnered a waitlist of 1800+ others hoping to get involved.

We’re so so appreciative of our community and everyone we’ve brought together throughout this journey. We’ve met some of the most talented people around, helped foster lifelong friendships, and have learned so much along the way. Thank you to all that have been part of this amazing process.

Throughout the past several weeks, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to decide what’s next for DropoutDAO. We have a thriving community of some of the best talent in the world, many of whom are searching for the same things we seek to provide—a tight-knit community of like-minded people, memorable experiences, and a reliable way to learn outside the classroom. Our vision of a global, decentralized university that fosters the next generation of talent is more vibrant than ever. We’re strong believers that the current education system is outdated and holds deep-rooted biases against many minority communities. Disruption happens not with a textbook—but through pockets of community-driven spaces that encourage innovation, impact, and endless curiosity.

So far, we’ve done co-living, hacker houses, dinners, picnics, parties, conference meetups, and more. All of which drive our mission to empower the next generation to confidently pursue daring and unconventional lifestyles and life paths. So what’s next for us? What’s the big news? Today, we have two big announcements for you:

Introducing Verci

Our new evolution is Verci. The brand relaunch takes into consideration two core ideas in who we are building for and how:

1. DropoutDAO was focused on bringing together founders and builders in web3, many of whom were dropouts, opt-outs, or on leave from university. But, we realized that the demand for a community like ours extended beyond the web3 space, and even the tech ecosystem. With this being said, we’re looking to expand our audience to include other young, entrepreneurial groups— internet creators, creatives, and more.

2. We also decided that we no longer envision ourselves as a DAO. Our goal has always been to build a hyperconnected community through in-person experiences and deep connections. We think that keeping our team lean and in charge of decision-making will help us scale and fulfill this vision more effectively.

Verci is a co-working and social club focused on uniting the most talented young builders and creators in the world.

At Verci, we’re building the ultimate network for entrepreneurs, engineers, creators, and creatives to connect with each other, support one another, and grow together. More importantly, this will be the start of the social institution that supersedes college and empowers more people to build the life they want, on their own mission, to write their own stories, feel supported, and most importantly feel at home. We are building the operating systems for the next evolution of young adulthood.

Meeting like-minded friends should be as easy as attending the next event on your calendar, whether it’s a philosophy seminar, rap cipher, or dim-sum dinner. Learning new skills should be as simple as attending the next workshop. Resources and growth opportunities should be accessible with a click on an app. Highly vetted community, social life as a service, peer mentorship, non-traditional + self-directed learning curriculum, co-working + co-living packages in distributed campuses across our new nomadic world, and intellectual programming should all be accessible for the next generation. And this is exactly what Verci enables as an operating system for a lifelong college without the classroom. A new lifestyle design that, in 5 years, will be the definite 3rd option for young adults: 1. go to college; 2. drop out alone; or 3. opt into a Verci life: moderately nomadic, continued high growth, and socially fulfilling.

We’re also launching a co-working space in NYC

This summer, we’re going all out on the in-person experiences. So far, we’ve already hosted several meetups and dinner parties. This next project is a fun one :) Starting this week, we’re opening a co-working space in SoHo, on 521 Broadway. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be organizing daily co-working sessions with community programming, frequent dinners, fireside chats, fashion shows, concerts, and more. We’re expecting 50-100 ambitious learners to join our community and get involved to help build the future of Verci.

We believe a great community is built with quality time. With our co-working space, we’re planning to add fun experiences to an environment our members already spend time in: the office. In combining quality programming with the right group of people, we’re laying the grounds for a thriving network of the best talent in our generation.

The college model is outdated. Today, information and networks are free to build. Tomorrow needs a social environment that empowers for decades instead of just 4 years. But despite the generational change, we still need the same things: a community with a shared identity and trajectory, peer development, support for personal, professional, and impact goals, along with spaces to work, play, and live. We are building the next generation of young adult development. This is just the beginning.
